Do what you say you’re going to do. Think critically. Approach a situation with an eye toward how it should be, not necessarily within the confines of how it is. Be bold. Speak truth to power. Recognize that you are what your team is. Maintain life balance and centeredness — you will do a better job because of it. And, above all, put The People/Customers first. The People’s needs are your needs. Everything you do should be done with them in mind. Recognize that it is a humble honor to be of service to The People, on a mission to further the public good. It is through that mind-set that we ultimately perform our public service.
